We're looking for a Junior Facilities Security Officer who enjoys solving difficult technical challenges and wants their work to have real operational impact.

What You'll Do

Your work may include:

Security and Compliance

  • Working with security policies, and government security standards
  • Implementing physical, personnel, and information security measures
  • Maintaining compliance with security regulations and audit requirements

Facility and Site Management

  • Assist with Day-to-day management of the secure facilities
  • Oversight of contractors working in secure environments
  • Managing keys, passes, visitor control, and access permissions and CCTV monitoring
  • Dealing with routine maintenance of physical security systems

Risk Management & Assurance

  • Monitoring threats and vulnerabilities affecting facilities
  • Supporting internal and external security audits
  • Registering of secure assets
  • Ensuring secure storage of classified materials

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Liaising with staff and stakeholders
  • Writing clear reports and maintaining accurate security records
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to challenge non-compliance appropriately
  • Plus any other Ad hoc tasks to support the Facilities Security Lead

What We're Looking For

We value people who take ownership, think critically, and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team tackling complex challenges. You don't need to tick every box, but we're particularly interested in people with skills/experience in:

  • Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow procedures and work independently
  • Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office, security systems, or similar)
  • Professional and approachable manner

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in security, facilities, or customer service
  • Knowledge of Access control, Intrusion detection and CCTV systems
  • SC Clearance or above

Just as important are curiosity, strong problem-solving ability, and the motivation to continuously improve how technology is designed and delivered.
