Who We Are
Omnicell is the $1.3 billion US manufacturer of automated storage and dispensing systems used in over 4000 hospitals worldwide. Omnicell’s automation and analytics solutions increase operational efficiency, reduce medication errors, deliver actionable intelligence and improve patient safety.
Up-time of our equipment is critical to smooth clinical operations across UK hospitals and customer breakdowns require a quick, knowledgeable response from a friendly face. Following significant commercial success in 2025 and with a strong order book, Omnicell UK is hiring a field service engineer in the London area.
The Role
The Junior Field Service Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and supporting Omnicell systems at our customers’ sites across Greater London.
The role will involve carrying out scheduled maintenance and ad hoc break-fix callouts, coordinated by our helpdesk team. This will include fault finding, replacing parts, performing quality and safety checks and management of time and spare parts.
On occasion you may be required to join our project teams, assisting with the installation and configuration of Omnicell systems and there may be some weekend or out of hours rota work required.
There are good opportunities for development over time into a range of areas in the business, including technical implementation, project management and solutions consultant.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
