Junior Finance Analyst
Junior Finance Analyst – FP&A | London (Hybrid) | £40,000
Play a critical role in the FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) team of a fast-growing, independent B2B energy supplier, reporting directly to the FP&A Manager.
You'll start with meaningful business partnering exposure:
- Attend monthly meetings with internal teams
- Build cross-departmental relationships
- Deliver financial analysis that directly influences business decisions, not just repetitive reporting
Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Support financial performance forecasts and gross margin analysis for commercial customers
- Conduct variance investigations through meticulous reconciliation work

Operational & Collaborative Support:
- Foster cross-departmental relationships to embed financial awareness across the organisation
- Assist with month-end and year-end processes
- Contribute to ad hoc external financial reporting as needed
Requirements
Core Skills:
- Advanced Excel proficiency (including handling large data sets)
- Financial analysis and forecasting experience (experience validating results)
- Sharp analytical attention to detail

Preferred (but not essential):
- FP&A background (demonstrated knowledge of planning/analysis frameworks)
- Commercial awareness (understanding customer-facing financial impacts)
