Junior Finance Assistant

Description
Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices and maintain the purchase ledger.
- Prepare and process bank payments accurately and on time.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Assist with customer receipts and sales ledger activities.
- Support stock accounting processes, including stock reconciliations and inventory reporting.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies relating to stock, supplier accounts, and bank transactions.
- Assist with month-end procedures and management accounts preparation.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments regarding finance queries.
- Support audits and provide information as required.
- Ensure compliance with company financial controls and procedures.

Profile
A Successful Junior Finance Assistant Should Have
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a finance, accounts, or accounting assistant role.
- Experience processing bank payments and performing bank reconciliations.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
