The Role
Are you an organised, detail-oriented professional ready to jumpstart your career in finance within a fast-paced, global environment? We are looking for a Junior Finance Assistant to join our team. This isn't just a data entry job; it is a vital support position where you will keep our day-to-day financial operations running smoothly, ensuring accuracy across our global accounts, reconciliations, and transactional workflows.
You will be a key player supporting both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders. You will balance routine processing with agile problem-solving, making sure our global suppliers are managed efficiently, payments are executed flawlessly, and data across our international subsidiaries is meticulously maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable & Mailbox Management: You will own the frontline of our AP operations. You will manage the AP mailbox with a sense of priority, posting invoices, chasing POs, addressing queries, and setting up new suppliers to ensure our vendor relationships remain seamless and up to date.
- Subsidiary & Data Preparation: You will be trusted with critical data preparation across our various subsidiaries. From balancing the books to aligning transactional workflows, you will handle Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations, and VAT data reconciliation with high accuracy.
- Accounts Receivable & Payment Operations: You will actively support the AR team by preparing quotes, issuing invoices, taking credit card payments, and keeping our track systems (like Smartsheet) updated. Additionally, you will assist with vital payment inputs, including weekly recurring runs, urgent payments, bi-monthly standard runs, expenses, and per diems.
- Global Reporting & Ad Hoc Projects: You will assist with complex cross-border financial tasks, including tax reconciliations and data collation for international regions (such as the UK, Saudi Arabia, and Brazil). Whether you are managing monthly National Statistics surveys, maintaining the Berlin local invoices tracker, or pulling bank statements for audit queries, you adapt quickly to support the wider team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
