Position Summary
The position is part of the world-wide Kodak Alaris controllership organization, reporting to the Regional Controller. The Junior FC will support three primary activities with the assistance of GL accountants within the share service center:
- Primary responsibility for Germany and France financial controllership
- Indirect oversight of internally managed shared services
The Junior FC directs preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting for the German and French legal entities including ownership of those ledgers. He or she is responsible for internal financial controls for the German and French operations. This position acts as a primary interface with external auditors of the business for the German and French audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage controllership activities for statement preparation, internal controls (e.g. balance sheet reconciliations) and reviews, financial standards and audits.
- Financial statement preparation – ensure that all relevant ledgers and reports are closed and prepared in a timely and accurate manner. Prepare appropriate analytical review of key accounts.
- Internal controls and reviews – ensure effective internal controls are in effect in the relevant entities
- Financial standards – prepare financial information monthly/quarterly/annually using approved company financial reporting tools under IFRS and assist in the annual restatement of financials to local GAAP (German and French).
- Audits –Oversee country specific statutory audits and coordinates external auditor reviews.
- Assist in the review of balance sheet account reconciliations, journal entries, and other items associated with the month-end and quarter-end closing process. Primary responsibility for French and German account reconciliations.
- Manage or ensure coverage for payables related controls including credit card and Purchasing card vendor management, monitoring controls and disbursements processing.
- Prepare and review general ledger entries for accruals and accounts including those related to revenue recognition, reserves, rebate accruals, service accounting, sales commissions, sales returns, warranty reserves, PO accruals, inventory reserves and benefits & payroll accounting entries.
- Review and submit the monthly VAT returns for Germany, France & UK
- Annual income tax review and filing for France

Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience

- 2-3 years of financial experience within industry and/or practice (Big4 or mid-tier companies)
- ACCA or ACA qualification
- Strong technical accounting background on IFRS with previous experience in basic accounting principles such as revenue recognition, benefits accounting and new IFRS standards
- Demonstrated process improvement skills in accounting and finance
- Strong internal customer relationship & excellent communications skills; team player
- Experience with ERP and general ledger systems
- Experience in interfacing with external auditors and knowledge of statutory reporting requirements
- Previous experience on German and French jurisdiction is preferred but not mandatory
