Junior Fixed Income Trader
This is an on-site role in London, England, in the office Monday – Thursday and remote on Fridays.

Responsibilities
We are seeking an exceptional Junior Quantitative Bond Trader to join a close-knit group in London. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Work with the Company’s Desk Head to build and execute strategies to automate and optimise our trading function
- Work closely with our dedicated Quantitative Research and Technology teams to continue evolving our trading approach and algorithms
- Directly learn to trade, as part of our hybrid model, through a combination of classroom lectures/discussions and working beside more experienced Traders
- This will include how to maintain accurate pricing, make markets in certain sectors, manage risk and execute trades, providing liquidity to hundreds of clients seeking to buy or sell bonds in our fast-paced, high-trade volume environment
- All our team members work on an open trading floor to promote an ongoing dialogue around system and business process improvements
Qualifications
Candidates must have outstanding communication and organisational skills, a sound business sense and an entrepreneurial verve. Over time, candidates will be expected to contribute to multiple functional areas, so willingness to work flexibly and be a collaborative team player within a small team environment is a must.
- Graduate degree or higher in a quantitative discipline, such as quantitative finance, statistics, mathematics, engineering etc.
- Required to pass regulatory exams if not already licensed
- Up to 3 years’ relevant experience in a markets-facing role
- Skilled in Python and standard packages, familiar with productionising code in a collaborative environment
- Skilled in data analysis and preparation using SQL
- Genuine interest in financial markets
- Strong work-ethic and high integrity
- Self-starter mentality with superior independent decision-making skills and judgment
- Collaborative, team-player with high EQ
- Preference for working in a pay-for-performance meritocracy

Compensation
In return for a long-term commitment, Millennium Advisors offers a highly competitive compensation package that includes base salary commensurate with experience, and incentive compensation, which could include equity in the firm. We have a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
