Junior Footwear Designer
Location: Central London (office based)
Salary Range: £30-35k
Job Type: Full-time, permanent
This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring footwear designer to gain hands-on experience within a premium fashion environment. Working closely with the Owners, Senior Designers and Product Development teams, you will support the design process from initial concept through to final production, helping to create products that reflect our brand's aesthetic and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of seasonal footwear collections across men's and women's categories.
- Create detailed CAD drawings, technical sketches and specifications, and presentation materials.
- Research global fashion, luxury, and footwear trends to generate innovative design concepts.
- Develop mood boards, colour palettes, material stories, and seasonal design narratives.
- Assist in the selection of premium leathers, textiles, components, and trims.
- Review prototypes and samples, providing feedback to ensure design intent and quality standards are achieved.
- Collaborate with Product Development, Merchandise, and Sourcing teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Monitor competitor activity and emerging trends within the premium and luxury footwear market.

About You
- Degree in Footwear Design, Fashion Design, Product Design, or a related discipline.
- Ideally, 1–2 years' experience in footwear design, including internships or placement years.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Excellent sketching, visual communication, and presentation skills.
- Understanding of footwear construction, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine passion for premium product and craftsmanship.
