ACCOUNTABLE:

Product Development & Brand Identity Lead for Carvela’s accessories portfolio—leading shoe and bag ranges, trend forecasting, and cohesive design direction across categories.


Crucial Contributions:

1. Core Design Leadership

  • Direct vision and execution for new product development (NPD), ensuring alignment with collections and Carvela’s signature aesthetic.
  • End-to-end styling direction: from conceptualization to production, delivering silks, storyboards, and technical sketch development.
  • Lead trend-driven innovation—proactively sourcing emerging styles, materials, and techniques across global markets.

2. Technical & Comfort Expertise

  • Fluid collaboration with prototyping teams and factories to refine practical, luxury-conscious designs—balancing vision with wearability.
  • Specify high-quality fit, rugged detailing, and Italian-inspired craftsmanship—ensuring durability and brand parity with Carvela’s core values.

  • Champion consistent design language across product ranges—ensuring evolution without compromising Carvela’s DNA.
  • Develop collaborative branding tools for customer-facing materials (showrooms, narratives) while ensuring market relevance.
  • Design direction for all-product briefs, including colours, materials, proportions, and technical specs—aligning each piece with Carvela’s signature ethos.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cultural and trend-driven briefs ensuring alignment with Carvela’s Design Directorate.
  • Translate influences (trend, seasonal, or guideline) into tangible designs with commercial legs.
  • Drive technical execution—ensuring samples reflect briefs, align with SKU requirements, and deliver production-ready files.
  • Guide workshops on upcoming trends, featuring industry expertise and Carvela’s portfolio developments.
