Junior Full Stack Engineer
You don't hire a CV. You hire a mind. We want a specific one: a self-taught engineer whose ability runs ahead of their CV, the kind of talent a credential filter never sees coming.
You taught yourself most of what you know. You build things nobody asked for, you read source code for fun, and you pick up a new language over a weekend because you couldn't leave it alone. You think in systems and first principles, not borrowed patterns, and you care how a thing is built, not just that it runs.
You've also become genuinely fluent with AI tools. They're a force multiplier on your judgement, never a substitute for it, and you can explain every line you ship.
You might not have the CV yet. You have the thing a CV can't show: the instinct to take something apart, understand it completely, and rebuild it better.
About Pynea
Hiring is broken, and everyone knows it. Companies drown in CVs that claim everything and prove nothing. Great people get filtered out by keywords. The wrong ones get through on polish. Pynea is the fix: a challenge-based interview intelligence platform, powered by AI. We replace CV noise with evidence from real work and real human capability, so companies hire on what people can actually do. We've just launched, with real users and real momentum, and we operate like a top-tier creative engineering studio: small team, high taste, high ownership, no corporate theatre.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The role
Full time, permanent, based in London with hybrid working. Competitive salary, matched to ability, not job titles. You'll build the engine behind the Living Profile. This is not a ticket shop; it's the chance to shape a product, a platform and a category from the ground up.
What you'll do:
- Ship real product from week one, to real users, owned end to end
- Take on problems above your level, because we think you'll surprise us
- Work across the systems behind the Living Profile, learning the stack fast and making it better
- Use AI powered tooling to build with the leverage of a much larger team

How we'll know it's you:
- You reason from first principles, not from the way it's usually done
- You learn faster than anyone expects
- You have taste in code: you can tell elegant from merely working
- You're fluent with AI tools, and you can defend every line, including the ones AI helped write
The stack you'll grow into:
- Backend: TypeScript, NestJS, PostgreSQL, Redis
- Frontend: React (Next.js) and/or Flutter
- Infrastructure: AWS / GCP, Terraform
This role is not the right fit if:
- You ship AI generated code you can't explain
- You need a complete spec before you can move
- You buy speed by cutting corners on security, reliability or tests
We don't expect all of it on day one. Strong foundations and the appetite to devour the rest are what matter. You must have the right to work in the UK.
If this is you, we look forward to hearing from you!
