About the Role I'm looking for talented Full Stack Software Engineers to join an ambitious and fast-growing technology business where innovation, collaboration, and engineering excellence are central to everything they do.

This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building scalable digital products, and making a tangible impact within a collaborative, product-led environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable full stack applications.
  • Build intuitive, reliable, and high-performing customer-facing features.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Contribute to software architecture, technical design, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Optimise application performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Participate in code reviews and champion engineering best practices.
  • Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and software quality.
  • Take ownership of features from concept through to production.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Commercial experience developing full stack web applications.
  • Start-up experience in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Next.js (HT Foxed likely typo), and CSS.
  • Experience building backend services using Node.js frameworks (e.g., NestJS or similar).
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
  • Understanding of modern software development practices, including:
    • Git
    • Code reviews
    • Automated testing
    • CI/CD
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A proactive mindset with an enthusiasm for continuous learning and adopting new technologies.

Desirable Experience

  • Microservices and distributed systems.
  • Prisma or comparable ORM frameworks.
  • RabbitMQ, Kafka, or event-driven architectures.
  • Automated testing using Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
  • Monorepo tooling and modern build systems.
  • Experience in eCommerce, SaaS, subscription-based, or digital product organisations.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools.
