About the Role
We are looking for a technically proficient Junior Game Programmer to join the Realityjam studio team as an apprentice, contributing to the development of MMO game, 5th Dimension. This is a fully remote, part-time, paid apprenticeship offering structured learning and direct involvement in shipping live multiplayer titles.
You will work primarily in C# within Unity, contributing to gameplay systems, multiplayer logic, tooling, and engine integration across the codebase for the multiplayer title, 5th Dimension.
The apprenticeship training that supports this role is a level 7, high-intensity vocational training pathway that requires 2 days per week of technically complex educational work and accordingly some pre-existing knowledge and experience of coding in C sharp /.NET (in a professional environment) is required. Level 7 is the highest level apprenticeship qualification available in the UK. Accordingly, this role is not suitable for applicants who have not had some experience in a professional environment.
In tandem with the apprenticeship qualification, the successful applicant will also qualify for a Unity Associate Certification at the completion of the apprenticeship, which adds an additional, internationally recognized qualification layer to the outcomes produced by this role.
If you’re not yet at the required experience level, our Pre-Apprenticeship Pathway offers a direct, mentored route into this role; see below.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
