An international law firm is looking for a Lead Senior HR Advisor/Junior HR Business Partner to provide high-quality, pragmatic HR support to a defined client group.
The role
Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, you’ll act as the senior point of contact for your client group - delivering confident ER advice, slick day-to-day execution and continuous improvement across the employee lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the HR advisory service for your client group, providing clear, commercial guidance across ER and policy.
- Own key employee lifecycle processes (joiners, movers, leavers), ensuring pace, accuracy and consistency.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition on recruitment from brief to offer, supporting fair, consistent selection.
- Lead on ER casework (performance, conduct, grievance, absence), including investigations and outcome management.
- Keep HR activity compliant with UK employment law and internal governance; translate changes into practical guidance.
- Drive improvements to processes, templates and MI - making the HR service simpler, faster and more consistent.

What you’ll bring
- CIPD qualified (or equivalent).
- Strong senior HR advisory experience within an international law firm or professional services environment.
- People leadership experience - coach-led, hands-on and collaborative.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and confident ER case management.
- A confident communicator who can influence stakeholders and handle sensitive issues with discretion.
- Organised and detail-driven, comfortable with HR systems and using MI to improve service.
