Junior Integration Engineer

Junior RAN Test Engineer

Role Overview

As a Junior RAN Test Engineer, you will join Ericsson’s RAN Test team and help ensure our 4G/5G Radio Access Network (RAN) solutions function as expected before deployment to live customer networks. Ideal for recent graduates, this early-career role offers structured mentorship, support, and a steady learning path to build expertise in mobile networks, testing methodologies, and automation.

Over time, you can progress towards roles such as Integration Engineer, Network Engineer, or Test Specialist within Ericsson.

What You Will Do

In your initial months, your focus will be on learning and building confidence with our processes, tools, and methodologies before taking on greater responsibility.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Following a structured onboarding plan covering 4G/5G RAN concepts, Ericsson’s tools, and internal workflows through learning platforms and local workshops.
  • Shadowing experienced colleagues during test planning, execution, and troubleshooting, then gradually taking ownership of small, clearly defined tasks with ongoing support.
  • Assisting in planning, preparing, and executing test cases for new software releases, features, or configuration changes in our RAN test environment, under senior guidance.
  • Collecting, organising, and summarising logs, traces, and basic KPIs from test runs to facilitate analysis and issue investigation.
  • Utilising existing automation frameworks and scripts to run tests, continuously improving efficiencies (e.g., refining log parsing or creating reports).
  • Supporting day-to-day test environment and tool operations, such as applying software updates or performing configuration adjustments, after Proper training.
  • Recording test cases, outcomes, and defects in standard Ericsson tools (e.g., Azure DevOps/Jira), along with clear documentation for traceability and collaboration.
  • Participating actively in team routines including stand-ups, planning sessions, and retrospectives, while collaborating closely with colleagues in other functions and geographic locations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
