Junior Integration Engineer
Junior RAN Test Engineer
Role Overview
As a Junior RAN Test Engineer, you will join Ericsson’s RAN Test team and help ensure our 4G/5G Radio Access Network (RAN) solutions perform as expected before deployment into live customer networks. This is an early-career role designed for recent graduates, offering structured support, mentoring, and a steady progression path as you build expertise in:
- Mobile networks
- Test methods
- Automation and AI
You’ll start by learning core concepts while contributing to real project work alongside experienced professionals. This role suits those who enjoy technical problem-solving, hands-on troubleshooting, and uncovering how systems function. Over time, you can grow into roles such as Integration Engineer, Network Engineer, or Test Specialist.
What You Will Do
Initial Focus: Learning & Growth
Your first months will prioritise learning Ericsson’s tools, processes, and ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
You will:

- Learn 4G/5G RAN concepts, Ericsson-specific tools, and processes through:
- Internal learning platforms
- Local workshops and training sessions

Shadow & support experienced engineers:
- Observe test planning, test execution, and troubleshooting steps.
- Gradually take ownership of small, well-defined tasks with guidance and mentorship.

Contribute to test preparation:
- Help design and execute test cases for:
- New software builds
- Feature upgrades
- Configuration changes
- Operate under senior engineer supervision in the RAN test environment.

Collect, organise and analyse data:
- Extract and organise logs, traces, and basic KPIs from test runs.
- Provide actionable insights that aid the team’s investigation of results or anomalies.

What You Will Bring

Core Requirements
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
- Telecommunications (or equivalent specialisations)
- Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Computer Science or Software Engineering
- Networks & Security (or closely-related disciplines)
- Technical aptitude aligned with mobile networks and testing, demonstrated by:
- Basic networking knowledge (e.g., IP, routing, latency, throughput)
- Linux/UNIX familiarity (terminal navigation, basic commands)
- Programming/scripting experience (Python, Java, C/C++, Bash, etc.)
- From coursework, projects, or personal ventures
