Junior It Support Engineer

Junior IT Support Engineer (Contract, 6 Months)

About the Role

We are assisting a world-leading global fashion powerhouse to recruit a Junior IT Support Engineer for a 6-month contract.

As a Junior IT Support Engineer, you will provide essential IT support functions across our fast-paced organisation. Your role will focus on maintaining enterprise-grade IT services, ensuring optimal user experience, and assisting with various IT-related responsibilities.


Responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor, maintain, and resolve/Escalate IT support requests via email, phone, or internal ticketing system
  • Develop support documentation to enhance the user experience where required
  • Provide on-call out-of-hours support as required
  • Assist the Group Technology and wider Information Technology teams with operational tasks
  • Handle and complete any ad-hoc work requests as determined by the Group IT Manager

Profile & Requirements

Ideally, candidates will meet the following criteria:

Experience & Technical Skills

  • 1–2 years of IT support experience (preferably in a similar role)
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Windows OS (specifically Windows 10/11 Administration & Troubleshooting)
    • Active Directory and Microsoft 365 support
    • Basic networking concepts (e.g., DNS, DHCP, VPN), with knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals
  • Hands-on hardware troubleshooting expertise, covering:
    • Desktops
    • Laptops
    • Mobile devices
    • Printers
  • Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and technical support methodologies

Certifications (Preferred but not Mandatory)

A ComTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or Microsoft certification would be a significant advantage.
