Junior Java Developer / Software Engineer

About the Role
As a Junior Java Developer you'll join a small team with a focus on backend Java development, but also with exposure across the full tech stack. You'll work on a range of projects across the business including trading systems, marketplace, website, payments and automated trading bots.
The Technology Stack
The technology stack includes Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, TypeScript, React and AWS amongst others; you'll be encouraged to expand your skillset using the latest technologies and choosing the best tool for the job in a friendly Agile team environment.

WFH Policy
You'll join the team in the West London office with flexibility to work from home twice a week.
About You
- Degree educated, having achieved a 2.1 or above gained in Computer Science (or similar STEM discipline) from a top tier university (e.g. Russel Group, Oxbridge) backed by A's / B's at A-level
- Commercial Java development experience
- Familiar with Agile processes and TDD
- Thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Design Patterns, Data Structures, Algorithms
- Previous exposure to any of the following would be beneficial but not essential - a willingness to learn is!
- Scala
- Kotlin
- Spring Boot
- TypeScript
- React
- AWS, Kubernetes, Docker and Linux
- Collaborative with good communication skills
