Junior Key Account Manager – Consumer Electronics Distribution

Location: UK

Working pattern: Hybrid

Employment type: Permanent, full-time

Sector: Consumer Electronics / Retail Distribution

The opportunity

An established consumer electronics distributor is looking for a Junior Key Account Manager to help develop relationships with retail, e-commerce and reseller customers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in sales, account support, or consumer electronics who is ready to take greater ownership of customer relationships and commercial performance.

Working alongside senior members of the commercial team, you will manage a portfolio of accounts, identify growth opportunities, and ensure customers receive a responsive and professional service.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of retail, e-commerce, and reseller accounts.
  • Build strong relationships with buyers, category teams, and other customer contacts.
  • Support the delivery of revenue, margin, and distribution targets.
  • Identify opportunities to increase product listings, promotional activity, and account penetration.
  • Prepare quotations, product proposals, presentations, and account reviews.
  • Monitor sales performance, pricing, stock availability, and customer forecasts.
  • Coordinate product launches and promotional campaigns with customers.
  • Work closely with buying, product, marketing, supply chain, and finance teams.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts, account plans, and CRM records.
  • Respond to customer enquiries and resolve pricing, stock, or delivery issues.
  • Track competitor activity and share relevant market insights.
  • Support senior account managers with larger strategic customers when required.

About you

  • Previous experience in sales, account management, business development, or commercial support.
  • Experience within consumer electronics, technology, retail, distribution, or a related sector would be advantageous.
  • Commercially aware with an understanding of revenue, margin, and customer performance.
  • Confident communicating with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Comfortable using sales data to identify opportunities and make recommendations.
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage several priorities.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
  • Motivated to develop into a more senior account-management position.

Desirable experience

  • Exposure to retail, e-commerce, reseller, or marketplace customers.
  • Knowledge of consumer electronics categories such as computing, mobile, smart home, gaming, audio, or accessories.
  • Experience preparing quotations, sales forecasts, or promotional plans.
  • Familiarity with retailer portals, CRM platforms, or ERP systems.
