Job Description

We are looking for a commercially minded junior disputes lawyer to join our legal team and support a varied portfolio of UK and international disputes. The role covers commercial contract, customer, service, payment, IP and trade mark disputes from pre-action through litigation, disclosure, mediation and settlement. The successful candidate will own defined workstreams, work closely with stakeholders and external counsel, and embrace responsible use of AI in legal practice.

Key responsibilities

  • Support commercial disputes, litigation, mediation and settlements.
  • Draft legal advice, correspondence, litigation hold notices and counsel instructions.
  • Prepare chronologies, evidence summaries and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate disclosure, discovery and document preservation.
  • Support witness preparation and litigation management.
  • Manage deadlines, reporting, budgets and external counsel.
  • Maintain legal privilege and confidentiality.
  • Develop disputes playbooks and templates.

AI and legal technology

  • Use approved AI tools to improve legal delivery.
  • Validate all AI outputs before use.
  • Understand confidentiality, privilege and security risks.
  • Help develop AI-enabled legal workflows.

Qualifications

Essential experience

  • Qualified solicitor (England & Wales), ideally NQ–2 PQE.
  • Training and/or experience at a specialist disputes/litigation firm.
  • Commercial litigation experience.
  • Excellent drafting, research and organisational skills.
  • Practical experience using AI for legal work.
  • Willingness to attend the London office approximately one day each week.

Desirable experience

  • Cross-border or US litigation.
  • Technology, outsourcing, IP or trade mark disputes.
  • Mediation and ADR.
  • E-disclosure platforms.
