Join a rapidly growing developer of Fiber-Optic products, in Suffolk, as their Junior Manufacturing Engineer.
We are looking for candidates who have either completed an engineering / manufacturing apprenticeship or degree, to support the manufacturing of existing products.
Your main responsibilities will be to provide daily hands-on Engineering support to the manufacturing team. Ensuring manufacturing processes meet stringent customer expectations in terms of specification, timescales, cost and reliability.
- Working in all aspects of manufacturing, you will support the creation and update of documentation (i.e. work instructions and process cards), improve manufacturing yields, product reliability and overall production efficiencies.
- You will be responsible for commissioning and maintenance of tooling/equipment, and where appropriate identify new equipment needs, including opportunities for investments in automation and / or new processing technologies.
- From time to time, you will attend customer and supplier liaison meetings providing technical assistance to customers and Sales.
- As you grow in the role, you will assist in the training of manufacturing personnel when required.

Experience and Qualifications:
You should have technical expertise in Manufacturing Engineering, with a professional qualification (University Degree) or an ONC/HNC and background in engineering.

Additional Information:
Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK without ever requiring sponsorship. Copies of Passports and Visas will be requested for verification.
Salary / benefits:
Competitive salary in the region £30-40k depending on experience.
