We're Building The Next Generation Of Employee Benefits Infrastructure.
At Happl, we help global teams design, manage, and scale benefits that actually work for their people by using AI, across flex allowances, benefits, insurance, recognition, and wellbeing, all in one intelligent platform.
Happl is backed by leading investors such as YCombinator, 6Degrees Capital, and more, known for backing leading companies such as Deel, Rippling, Airbnb, Coinbase, Dropbox, and most recently was awarded a place in the UK's top 100 startups for 2026.
About The Role
As Junior Marketing Manager at Happl, you'll be the all-rounder at the heart of our marketing function - the person who can pick up a content brief in the morning, run point on a partner launch over lunch, and be helping pull together an event in the afternoon. You'll work across the entire marketing mix, from content and campaigns through to partnerships, events, brand, and community.
This is a hands-on role with real responsibility from day one. You won't be siloed into a single channel or stuck on slide decks - you'll be writing, building, organising, briefing, and shipping across whatever the business needs that week. The variety is the point. You'll work directly alongside the GTM Lead, Content Marketing Manager, Demand Generation Manager, and founding team, and get a front-row seat to how every part of an early-stage SaaS business actually fits together.
It would also be a real bonus if you're comfortable behind a camera. Content creation won't be the core of the role, but if you know your way around the kit - cameras, lenses, audio gear - and can edit what you shoot (Adobe, Final Cut Pro, or similar), you'll have plenty of chances to use it: capturing events, shooting headshots, and producing video for explainers, socials, and customer testimonials.
If you want to dive into all aspects of B2B marketing - the strategic side, the creative side, and the messy operational side - this is the role that gives you all three. The faster you learn, the more you'll own, and the more your fingerprints will end up across the business.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns end-to-end - from briefing creative and writing copy through to launching, tracking, and reporting back on what worked
- Supporting the Content Marketing Manager with copy across formats - blog posts, customer stories, landing pages, social posts, sales enablement - keeping a consistent voice across everything Happl puts out
- Helping run our partnerships programme - coordinating co-marketing activities with benefits providers, advisors, and ecosystem partners, and making sure every partner moment ships on time
- Owning the operational side of events - supplier coordination, attendee logistics, booth setup, follow-up sequences, and the post-event recap that turns activity into pipeline
- Helping pull together our presence at industry events, founder breakfasts, and dinners - from guest list curation to on-the-day execution
- Building and scheduling email campaigns, newsletters, and nurture sequences in our marketing automation platform, making sure every send is sharp, on-brand, and properly tracked
- Supporting on social - ideating posts, scheduling content, engaging with our community, and helping build Happl's presence on LinkedIn in particular
- Jumping in on content capture where needed - shooting photography at events, headshots for the team, and recording video for explainers, socials, and testimonials, then editing it into something we can ship
- Pulling weekly performance reports across channels using GA4, Looker Studio, and our CRM - spotting trends and translating them into next steps
- Helping keep our website fresh - updating pages, launching new ones, and shipping small experiments to improve how visitors experience the brand
- Coordinating with Sales and Customer Success to surface customer stories, feedback, and proof points that can be turned into marketing material
- Using AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT every day to accelerate copywriting, research, audience analysis, and reporting - building workflows that let a small team move like a much bigger one
- Bringing fresh ideas to the table - new content angles, new partner ideas, new event formats - and being willing to roll up your sleeves and prove them out
- Helping keep the marketing function running smoothly - calendars, trackers, briefs, and the small bits of organisation that keep a fast-moving team aligned.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What we're looking for
- 1-3 years in a marketing role - ideally in a B2B SaaS, scale-up, or agency environment where you've had to wear multiple hats and own things end-to-end
- A genuine all-rounder - you're happy moving between content, events, partnerships, social, and operations, and you don't need to be told which lane to stay in
- A strong writer who can shift between a thought-leadership piece, a punchy social post, and an event invite without losing the voice or the point
- Comfortable with numbers - you can pull a report, read a funnel, and explain what changed and why without hiding behind jargon
- Hands-on experience with at least a couple of these: HubSpot, Salesforce, GA4, Looker Studio, LinkedIn, Webflow, ClickUp, Canva, or similar
- A bonus if you're handy with content creation kit - comfortable shooting on cameras (and choosing the right lens and audio setup) and editing in tools like Adobe Premiere/Photoshop or Final Cut Pro. Not essential, but it'll open up a lot of fun work if you have it
- AI-native instinct - you already use tools like Claude and ChatGPT to do better work, faster, and you're always looking for the next workflow to automate
- Organised and self-directed - you can hold a lot of moving pieces, stay on top of deadlines, and ship things without being chased
- Bias to action over polish - you'd rather get something live, learn from it, and improve than wait three weeks for the perfect launch
- A team player who takes feedback well, asks good questions, and owns their mistakes - we move fast and that only works when everyone's honest
- Familiarity with the HR tech, fintech, or employee benefits world is a bonus but not required - curiosity and the ability to get smart quickly matters more

If you don't meet every requirement but feel this role fits your trajectory, we'd still love to hear from you.
What to expect
You're joining a marketing function that's being built in real time. There's no playbook handed to you, no rigid process to follow, and no neat job description that contains everything you'll end up doing. You'll learn by doing - across more parts of the business than most marketers get exposed to in their first five years.
Expect to be pushed. You'll be given more responsibility than is comfortable, and the trust to run with it. The trade-off is the rate at which you'll grow - the people who thrive at Happl tend to look back six months in and barely recognise the marketer they were when they started.
This is a role for someone who wants the variety, the visibility, and the genuine ownership that only comes with being early. You'll be in the room where decisions get made and you'll see exactly how marketing connects to product, sales, customer success, and the wider business. If that sounds like the kind of environment you want to learn in, you'll get a lot out of it.
Why join Happl
