About the Role

  • In addition to your contractual pay, any time worked between 22:00–06:00 will attract Night Premium at a rate of £4.75 per hour. This also applies to existing Partners who have enrolled onto Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.

About the Role

What you’ll do:

  • Use your analytical and commercial skills to plan and optimise the best product range for customers in the Electricals category.
  • Work closely with the Merchandising Manager to deliver key performance indicators, including sales, profit, stock, SKUs, availability, margin, and risk management.
  • Seize opportunities and lead in-season trading to drive exceptional results for both customers and the category.
  • Task-manage Merchandising Assistants in your product category, ensuring clear guidance for their roles.
  • Collaborate with Buyers to develop the best product range using range planning and pricing architecture.
  • Operate within a fourth-quarter pay band of £34,000–£51,500 in a permanent, hybrid role based at our London Central Office (Pimlico), with a requirement of minimum 3 on-site days per week for team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will include:

  • Forecasting & planning: Accurately forecast sales, stock, profit, and SKUs for your category with support from L6 Merchandiser and Trade Planning.
  • Range planning & trading: Drive commercial and customer success through assortment planning and agile in-season trading, leveraging Product Operations data.
  • Stock management: Oversee the flow of stock via Merchandising Assistants to control inventory levels and Open to Buy (OTB).
  • Channel optimisation: Maximise availability across retail channels while minimising inventory and supply chain costs.
  • Relationship & decision-making: Work collaboratively with Buyers, Merchandisers, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Trading Operations, and suppliers, making seasonal trading, volume, and pricing decisions.
  • KPI accountability: Directly influence sales, stock, margin, and availability targets with the support of senior colleagues.

Essential Skills & Experience

We’re looking for:

  • Experience in forecasting, WSSI (Weekly/Semi-Weekly Stock Injection) management, influencing, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Knowledge in budget-to-actual (BTA) preparation, margin modelling, and flow planning.
  • Merchandising expertise, including assortment planning, stock control, and retail operations.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel (or similar analytical tools).
  • Reporting experience (e.g., Tableau, Business Intelligence software).
  • Communication skills for presentations and stakeholder reports.
  • Retail supply chain experience.
