Job Title: Junior Paraplanner
Location: Chipping Norton (Hybrid)
Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience
An established and reputable independent financial planning firm is seeking a new Paraplanner to join its professional advisory team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a client-focused business that places long-term relationships, high-quality advice, and professional standards at the heart of everything it does.
The role would suit someone who has experience in a financial planning firm previously or who holds some financial planning exams and is now looking to develop their experience in a more challenging role.
There is training and development available alongside exam support, so this role offers an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career in financial services within a supportive, professional environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate, compliant financial planning reports and providing technical support to advisers. You will work closely with Financial Planners to ensure recommendations are well-researched, clearly documented, and delivered efficiently, supporting the firm’s ongoing growth.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
