Junior Payments Operations Processing Consultant

2–3 years' of relevant experience.

Location: London (Hybrid – 3 Days Office / 2 Days Remote), (Inside IR35)

Contract: 6 Months (Likely Extension)

Candidates with the right to live and work in United Kingdom are preferable.

We are looking for a Payments Operations Processing Consultant with 2–3 years of experience in banking payments operations to join a growing team within a well-established bank.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and verify international and domestic payment transactions
  • Input and validate SWIFT MT103, MT202 & MT210 payment messages
  • Process SEPA payments accurately and within agreed SLAs
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
  • Investigate and resolve payment exceptions and queries
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth payment processing

Essential Skills:

  • 2–3 years' experience in Payments Operations Processing within a bank or financial institution
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • SWIFT MT103
    • SWIFT MT202
    • SWIFT MT210
    • SEPA Payments
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced banking environment
