Junior Payroll Assistant

Location: Bromley (Office-based, Monday-Friday)

RTL Group are a successful recruitment company specialising in the construction and renewable energy sectors, and we're looking for a Junior Payroll Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team in Bromley. No previous payroll experience is required – full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for a school or college leaver looking to build a long-term career.

The Role

As a Junior Payroll Assistant, you'll receive full training while supporting our payroll team with the day-to-day processing of contractor payroll. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable office experience and develop specialist payroll skills within a growing recruitment business.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the weekly processing of contractor payroll.
  • Processing timesheets and ensuring information is accurate.
  • Entering and maintaining payroll data.
  • Responding to contractor payroll queries by phone and email.
  • Supporting payroll administration and compliance tasks.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Providing administrative support to the wider payroll team.
  • Learning payroll systems and processes through full on-the-job training.

We're looking for someone who is:

  • A school or college leaver, or someone seeking their first payroll/administration role.
  • Eager to learn and develop new skills.
  • Organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • A confident communicator with a friendly and professional manner.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new systems.
