What it's about

Partners Group’s Private Real Estate team is a global business department and we are looking for a new candidate to support our business. This position may be filled at the Portfolio Analyst or Junior Portfolio Manager level, depending on qualifications. The candidate will have the unique opportunity to work side-by-side with the investment and asset management teams and play a diverse role in the holistic investment and investment management process. The successful candidate will work on a portfolio of European real estate investments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Holistic management and ownership of real estate investment structures
  • Coordinate with internal groups and external partners to manage investment capital requirements, liquidity, and financial reporting
  • Prepare and maintain accurate investment valuations of control investments
  • Collaborate with internal teams across the firm and external partners to ensure quality of investment data, including through implementation of technology solutions, to support the oversight of portfolio performance and drive accretive decision making to both enhance returns and/or mitigate risk
  • Manage analytics and reporting for internal and external stakeholders, including business unit leadership, investment committee, current and prospective clients
  • In collaboration with investment/asset management teams, take an active role in divestment, refinancing, and corporate action processes including investment committee submissions
  • Conduct financial analysis, including the creation of detailed pro-forma and Excel-based financial models
  • Drive the execution of business plans for Partners Group's programs or portfolio investments

What we expect

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, or real estate. Higher education, CFA, or CA/CPA is a plus.
  • Strong accounting background with excellent understanding of fair value concepts. Big 4 or real estate valuation experience is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience (5 years for Junior Portfolio Manager level) in the financial services or real estate sectors, inclusive of relevant higher education.
  • Understanding of investment structures (joint ventures, partnerships).
  • Great interpersonal skills, positive and pro-active attitude and an ambitious profile that shows strong commitment to the role.
  • The ability to deliver under tight deadlines; the candidate is a self-starter that thrives on complexity and is solution focused.
  • Strong and confident communicator to liaise across internal teams and operating partners. Ability to present to investment committee and other stakeholders with conviction.
