Procurement Consultant
Salary: £35,000–£45,000 Location: London – 2 days per week
A growing boutique procurement consultancy is looking to hire an ambitious Junior Procurement Consultant as part of the first permanent team being built outside of the founding leadership group. The business supports clients with procurement improvement, cost transformation, supplier intelligence, and sustainability-led commercial projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their procurement career who wants broader exposure, greater responsibility, and the chance to learn directly from highly experienced former CPOs and procurement leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of procurement, sourcing, and cost-reduction projects across a range of clients and sectors.
- Conduct spend analysis, supplier research, market mapping, and commercial benchmarking to identify opportunities.
- Assist with sourcing activity, including requirements gathering, RFQs, tender documentation, and supplier evaluation.
- Prepare clear reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior consultants and client stakeholders.
- Work closely with the consultancy’s directors to support client delivery, business development, and internal growth initiatives.

Key Skills and Experience
- A minimum of one year’s procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience, ideally gained within a large or complex organization.
- Experience gained through a procurement graduate scheme or an initial procurement role such as Procurement Analyst, Buyer, or Junior Category Specialist.
- Degree educated and/or currently studying towards a CIPS qualification.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, with confidence using Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ambitious, commercially minded, and comfortable working with different clients, priorities, and project requirements.
