Junior Procurement Specialist – Technology Category
Newcastle (Hybrid – 2 days per week in the office)
Up to £45,000 + Excellent Benefits + Fully Funded CIPS
A leading global organisation is looking to appoint an ambitious Junior Procurement Specialist to join its growing procurement function based in Newcastle.
This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with 1-2 years' procurement experience who is looking to accelerate their career within a world-class procurement team. You'll work alongside experienced procurement leaders who are passionate about developing talent, providing structured mentoring, ongoing training, and clear career progression.
The role will focus on Technology procurement, however, previous Technology category experience is not required. Instead, the business is looking for someone with strong commercial potential, excellent stakeholder skills, and a genuine passion for developing a career in strategic procurement.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of sourcing projects across the Technology category.
- Assist with supplier selection, negotiations, contract management, and supplier performance activities.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver commercial value.
- Support end-to-end sourcing activities including RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, supplier evaluations, commercial analysis, and contract administration.
- Identify opportunities to drive cost savings, improve supplier performance, reduce risk, and deliver value.
- Work closely with senior procurement professionals, gaining exposure to strategic procurement and category management.
About You
- 1-2 years' procurement or sourcing experience across any category.
- Degree educated or equivalent.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercially minded with excellent analytical skills.
- Ambitious, eager to learn, and keen to build a long-term career in procurement.
- Working towards CIPS or keen to gain the qualification.
