The Show: Ask the Universe

The show: Ask the Universe is a new Gen Z-focused interview and entertainment format exploring career journeys, life lessons, ambition, identity, relationships, culture and the future through honest, insightful and entertaining conversations through the vessel of a vision board.

Your Role

We're looking for a Junior Producer to join the team on a freelance contract and help build the show from the ground up. This is an opportunity for someone who lives and breathes internet culture, understands what Gen Z audiences care about, and is excited by the challenge of helping shape a new format.

Working closely with the Producer, you'll support all areas of development and production, from guest research and outreach to creative ideation and shoot preparation. We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, organised, proactive and full of ideas. The ideal candidate is as comfortable researching talent and writing briefing notes as they are brainstorming new segments and helping execute shoots.

Day to Day

  • Research and identify compelling guests across entertainment, music, social media, fashion, business, and culture to build detailed research packs and biographies.
  • Collaborate with the Producer to develop guest-specific interview angles, contributing highly creative ideas during development meetings.
  • Support production timelines, coordinate prop sourcing, set preparation, and assist the team directly on-the-ground during filming days.
  • Identify standout, viral moments from filming to create episode summaries, content notes, and easy-win social assets for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
