Operating from our production facility in Bolton, Fazila Foods proudly supplies over 450 SPAR stores across the north of England as a proud member of the James Hall & Co. Ltd. Family.

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours of work: 40 hours per week

Shift Pattern: 5 days out of 7 including weekends, 14:00-22:00 (Flexibility is required)

Location: Fazila Foods, Britannia Business Park, 27 Waters Meeting Rd, Britannia Way, Bolton BL2 2HH

About The Role

The Junior Production Manager is responsible for supporting the effective management of daily production operations while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, efficiency, and employee engagement are maintained. The role requires a proactive and adaptable individual who can support operational objectives across multiple functions, including Health & Safety, Human Resources, Training, and Production.

Working closely with the Production Management team, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, workforce development, and operational performance, whilst ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

As our Junior Production Manager, you'll be responsible for supporting production operations while ensuring our teams work safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting and promoting a positive Health & Safety culture across the business.
  • Maintaining and developing Safe Systems of Work (SSW) and Risk Assessments (RA).
  • Conducting workplace inspections, audits and accident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are completed.
  • Maintaining exceptional food safety, hygiene and GMP standards.
  • Supporting internal and external audits and managing non-conformances through to completion.
  • Investigating customer complaints and implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Managing employee attendance, Return-to-Work interviews and risk assessments.
  • Supporting employee investigations and disciplinary and grievance processes.
  • Maintaining training records, delivering training sessions and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Support with production planning and labour allocation to meet customer demand and optimise productivity.
  • Monitoring production performance, analysing KPIs and producing operational reports.
  • Working collaboratively with managers, supervisors and production teams to drive continuous improvement.
