Junior Production Planner

Planner (Manufacturing)

Salary: Up to A GBP 29,000 per annum + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Hours: Onsite Monday - Friday, days

Are you looking to build a long term career in production planning and manufacturing? Do you already have some experience in a planning, production control, or manufacturing administration role and want the opportunity to learn from an experienced team?

We're looking for a motivated and organized Planner to join a well-established manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the early stages of their planning career who is keen to develop their skills in production planning, ERP systems, manufacturing operations, and supply chain.

What you'll be doing

As Planner, you'll play an important part in keeping production running smoothly by ensuring materials, production orders, and stock are accurately managed.

  • Creating and releasing production orders
  • Supporting the progress of orders through the manufacturing process
  • Liaising with production teams to help keep schedules on track
  • Creating serial numbers and production documentation
  • Supporting inventory accuracy through cycle counting and stock control activities
  • Updating ERP and MRP systems with production information
  • Assisting with engineering changes and production updates
  • Working closely with manufacturing, stores, and other departments to ensure customer orders are delivered on time
  • Providing general support to the Production Planning team

What we're looking for

This role would suit someone who already has some experience within a manufacturing, production planning, production control, materials planning, supply chain, or operations environment and is looking to take the next step.

Ideally You'll Have

  • Some experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to production planning, scheduling, or production control
  • Experience using an ERP or MRP system such as SAP would be an advantage but is not essential
  • Good Excel skills and confidence working with data
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills with the confidence to work across different departments
  • A positive attitude and genuine willingness to learn and develop
