Junior Programme Planner – IFS ERP Transformation Programme
Role Title: Junior Programme Planner
Programme: IFS ERP Transformation Programme
Reports To: Programme Planning Lead
Location: Hybrid (UK) and Paris
Contract Type: Initial 3-month contract with strong likelihood of extension through 2027.
Day Rate: £250 per day (subject to engagement)
Extension: Strong potential to extend through 2027.
About the Role
We are seeking a driven and well-organised Junior Programme Planner to join a major IFS ERP Transformation Programme. This is a great opportunity for someone aiming to build a career in programme planning while gaining practical experience on a complex international ERP rollout.
Working closely with the Programme Planning Lead, you will assist in developing and maintaining the Integrated Programme Plan, supporting coordination across Design, Build, Testing, Business Change, Data, Deployment and Hypercare workstreams.
This role will provide exposure to senior stakeholders and modern planning approaches within a fast-moving transformation environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining the Integrated Programme Plan.
- Support the updating and management of programme schedules using Microsoft Project and/or Smartsheet.
- Monitor programme milestones, dependencies and critical path activities.
- Collaborate with workstream leads to collect planning updates and status information.
- Support preparation of executive planning reports and dashboards.
- Help maintain programme governance milestones and planning documentation.
- Assist with dependency tracking across multiple workstreams.
- Prepare planning materials for Steering Committees and Programme Leadership meetings.
- Highlight planning risks, issues and any schedule deviations.
- Ensure all planning data is accurate, current and well maintained.

Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience in a Project Planning, PMO or Programme Planning position (including internships or placements), or a final-year/recent graduate with a strong interest in programme planning.
- Strong organisational abilities and analytical thinking.
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage several priorities at once.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Desirable
- Experience with Microsoft Project (MSP).
- Experience using Smartsheet (advantageous but not essential).
- Exposure to ERP or large-scale transformation programmes.
- Basic understanding of programme planning, dependencies and critical path concepts.
