Junior Project Manager
Junior Project Manager – Warehouse Automation (Contract & Delivery Support)

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Junior Project Manager to support the end-to-end delivery of warehouse automation projects, from contract award through installation, commissioning, and successful customer handover. You will work under the guidance of an experienced Project Manager, contributing to planning, coordination, execution, and monitoring activities—ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the required quality, safety, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
Core Deliverables
- Monitor project progress across all phases to ensure alignment with contractual scope, schedule, and milestones.
- Support the Project Manager in delivering turnkey automation projects to customer satisfaction.
- Track and manage project schedules, actions, risks, and issues, ensuring timely follow-ups and resolutions.
- Coordinate across stakeholders, including:
- Customers
- Internal engineering teams
- Suppliers and subcontractors
- Site personnel
- Prepare and maintain critical project documentation, including:
- Status reports
- Meeting minutes
- Progress updates
- Facilitate stakeholder and customer communication to maintain positive working relationships.
- Assist with subcontractor coordination and deliverable tracking.
- Support planning activities and progress monitoring against project schedules.
- Follow up on project plans to ensure milestones and commitments are met.
- Provide on-site support during:
- Installation
- Testing
- Commissioning
- Handover phases
- Track snag lists and assist in the timely closure of outstanding items.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (QEH&S) standards.
- Support system testing and commissioning activities.

Supporting Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Project Manager during design and build phases, considering cost, scope, timeline, and safety.
- Support change management processes, including:
- Documentation
- Approvals
- Impact tracking
- Assist with budget tracking, cost validation, and finance team coordination.
- Help resolve project issues and address stakeholder queries.
- Support design reviews and approval processes.
- Contribute to consistent project reporting, governance, and documentation standards.
- Coordinate multiple workstreams and track key deliverables.
- Promote continuous improvement within the project team.
- Develop an understanding of technical, commercial, and operational aspects of automation project delivery.
Requirements
Professional Experience
- Entry-level to junior-level experience in:
- Project management
- Engineering
- Automation
- Manufacturing
- A related transferable field
- Experience with:
- Managing project schedules, budgets, and reporting
- Coordination activities within technical or corporate environments
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with:
- Internal teams
- Customers
- Suppliers
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple concurrent activities.
- Highly organised, with sharp attention to detail and follow-through.

Academic Background (Preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Automation, Industrial, Electrical)
- Project management
- A related discipline
Technical Skills
- Understanding of Project Management principles.
- Awareness of QEH&S standards.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Microsoft Project).
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) – a plus.
- Strong written and spoken English competencies.
