Junior Project Manager
IT Project Coordinator Location: Nottingham (on-site) Duration: 3 months Rate: £225–£265 (Umbrella, depending on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking an Agile Project Coordinator to support and deliver projects within a fast-paced PMO (Project Management Office) environment. This role suits candidates with experience in project coordination or junior project management (PM), capable of operating across both traditional and agile delivery models.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Planning, coordinating, and driving delivery across multiple IT project workstreams
- Ensuring timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations are efficiently managed
- Depending on experience, you may lead smaller projects or collaborate with senior project leadership on larger initiatives
This is a proactive, delivery-focused role requiring strong ownership, the ability to remove blockers, and a commitment to accountability across project teams.
Responsibilities
- Project planning and coordination: Develop and maintain project plans, backlogs, and timelines.
- Risk and issue management: Identify, track, and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stakeholder communication: Provide regular updates, ensure alignment, and facilitate clear, consistent communication.
- Delivery accountability: Drive outcomes, not just administrative coordination, ensuring projects stay on track.
- Workstream management: Balance competing priorities and maintain momentum across teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
