About the Role

As a Junior Project Manager – Engineering & Construction, you’ll join our team in Somerset to support major infrastructure and nuclear-sector projects. You’ll manage stakeholders, contractors, and project teams, delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality engineering outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading project delivery from concept to handover, ensuring on-time and compliant outcomes.
  • Developing and implementing engineering design, contract, and execution strategies.
  • Managing multi-discipline EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Management) projects across all phases.
  • Ensuring adherence to schedule, cost, and quality objectives using Earned Value Management (EVM), estimating, scheduling, and risk monitoring.
  • Applying project controls tools (cost, planning, risk management).
  • Implementing robust risk mitigation strategies and compliance with CDM Regulations (Construction (Design and Management) Regulations).
  • Managing complex contracts under NEC (New Engineering Contract) and FIDIC (Federation Internationale des Ingénieurs-Conseils) guidelines.
  • Overseeing procurement strategies and contractor performance, including commercial claims, negotiations, and dispute resolution.
  • Engaging with multi-level stakeholders (clients, contractors, consultants, regulators) and facilitating decision-making.
  • Promoting a safety-first culture and ensuring nuclear quality standards are met.
  • Maintaining environmental and security compliance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
