Job Title & Overview

As a Junior Project Manager – Engineering & Construction, you’ll support complex major infrastructure and nuclear-sector projects based in Manchester, with on-site work in Bridgewater (Somerset).

This role focuses on leading the full project lifecycle—from concept to handover—while ensuring cost, schedule, risk, and quality control within highly regulated environments. You’ll manage stakeholders, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality engineering and construction outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of major projects from concept to handover.
  • Develop and implement engineering design, contract, and execution strategies.
  • Manage multi-discipline EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Management) projects through all phases.
  • Ensure projects meet schedule, cost, and quality objectives via estimating, scheduling, programming, and Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques.
  • Monitor and control cost, risk, change, and project performance.
  • Implement robust risk management strategies and mitigation plans.
  • Oversee complex contracts under NEC and FIDIC frameworks.
  • Manage procurement strategies and contractor performance.
  • Handle commercial claims, negotiations, and dispute resolution.
  • Engage consistently with multi-level stakeholders (clients, contractors, consultants, and regulators).
  • Deliver clear presentations, reporting, and project updates.
  • Facilitate decision-making in complex project environments.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a safety-first culture across all project activities.
  • Apply nuclear quality standards and graded quality assurance.
  • Maintain high standards of environmental and security compliance.---

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
