Junior Project Manager – (Global Currency Templates team) Job Description This role suits a proactive, adaptable individual looking to develop their technical, project management and personal skills while working in a fast-paced environment with evolving technologies, customers and projects. What is a currency template? This is software that implements strict banknote handling requirements in an Automated Teller Machine’s cash deposit module. Each country will have their own unique requirements for identification of currencies (both local and FOREX), identifying different types of banknote damage, counterfeit notes and in some cases a central bank certification must be passed. This is a vital part of NCR’s ability to sell banknote deposit and recycling hardware around the world in a timely and technically competent manner. Job requirements: Project Planning and Management – guide and coordinate projects with assistance, including confirming requirements, resource, schedule, hardware, and performance as well as working with internal/external developers to ensure the successful delivery of the bespoke software to each country High level of communication skills – be able to adapt technical information for the relevant audience. Being the principle cornerstone at centre of all communications between all relevant teams, with guidance for more complex situations Project co-ordination - Managing multiple projects of varying complexity and stage of investigation at any given time with the principle focus on meeting customer requirements, though with assistance for the more complex projects Technical Guidance & Support – with relevant training be capable of understanding the basic elements of hardware and software applicable for note handling. Capable of analysing some errors and logs to identify root cause of issues Essential Skills This role requires skills in the following areas: Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to clearly explain technical information to others where English is not their first language Ability to handle urgent incidents in an appropriate and effective manner Ability to review & understand technical data, such as log analysis and perform technical testing as required Self-starting Willingness to travel on occasion if required, when permitted Capable of working in a team and independently Able to work to tight deadlines Ability to manage multiple incidents/requests at the same time Willingness to learn Advantageous Skills Knowledgeable across related NCR deposit and recycler hardware and software products Qualifications & Experience Degree in a discipline related to project management or the product technology Minimum of 1 years related job experience (Project Management/technical support) Main areas of responsibility Assist the Project Manager with the following: Liaise with the Local Template Managers, Professional Services and Sales in each country to ensure that template requirements are clear Work with the Local Template Manager to obtain the schedule for test template testing, while ensuring that tests are completed on time and results are shared in correct format Work closely with the Template Development Team, to ensure clear communication about any issues and timescales Provide data to the Template Development Team in a timely manner Maintain accurate and complete incident records in the Template Tracking application. Identify and resolve process deficiencies to permit more efficient template development Identify opportunities for toolset and infrastructure improvements to permit more efficient template development.
