Role Description

The Junior Project Manager role at Portico Stone is a full-time, on-site position based in Greater London or Home counties. This role supports the planning and delivery of stonework projects, coordinating timelines, resources, and stakeholders to ensure projects run smoothly from design through installation.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with project scheduling
  • Managing documentation
  • Tracking progress
  • Supporting communication between internal teams, suppliers, and clients

The right candidate will help monitor site activities, follow up on actions, and contribute to resolving any issues along the way.

The role offers the opportunity to learn from experienced project leaders, attend trainings, gain exposure to the industry, and contribute to the successful completion of high-quality architectural work.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would:

  • Possess skills in Project Management, including planning, coordination, and basic risk and issue tracking.
  • Possess skills to follow up, track deliverables, and support timely procurement and supply chain activities.
  • Have a base understanding of Logistics Management, deliveries, on-site material flow, pre-planning and seamless running of projects, in collaboration with senior team members.
  • Understand the value of inspection and quality checks to support adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Have strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Have effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Comfort with basic digital tools (e.g., project management software, spreadsheets, document management systems, and basic understanding of reading plans, sections, elevations).
  • Relevant education or training in construction, engineering, architecture, or project management is beneficial; prior experience in construction or building materials is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Possess a valid driving licence.
