Project Planning & Governance Graduate Role in Ericsson’s North Europe PMO
About the Role
Are you a recent graduate eager to start your career in project planning, governance, and financial management within a global technology leader?
Join Ericsson’s North Europe Project Office (NEU PMO) and gain hands-on experience supporting Customer Project Managers, Planners, and Finance Teams to plan, coordinate, and report on customer projects. This role is ideal for those who enjoy working with data, structure, and analytical thinking—and want a structured path to grow in project planning, management, or financial governance.
You’ll benefit from a 12-month mentorship programme, structured training, and exposure to global project delivery, governance, and responsibility frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
You will assist the NEU PMO team in delivering structured project planning, reporting, and governance across customer projects, including:
- Collaborating with Customer Project Managers to translate project and contract details into clear planning inputs, deliverables, milestones, and dependencies.
- Supporting planning and scheduling using industry tools:
- Site Tracker
- Global Chronos
- SAP
- Preparing and maintaining project status reports, dashboards, and action trackers to provide stakeholders with real-time visibility on:
- Progress
- Risks
- Issues
- Forecasts
- Maintaining project documentation, version control, and Project Library structures to ensure audit readiness and governance compliance.
- Analysing data to identify gaps, inconsistencies, or risks, and escalating findings to Customer Project Managers, senior planners, or finance teams.
- Working cross-functionally with:
- Local and global teams (including Network Program Directors, Implementation Managers, Project Finance Managers)
- Engineers and delivery teams
- Customers and partners

Development and Mentorship
This role includes a structured 12-month training programme designed for graduates. You’ll:
- Learn Ericsson’s Ways of Working, NEU PMO processes, and project tools.
- Shadow experienced Project Planners, Project Managers, and MCOs.
- Progressively take ownership of planning and reporting tasks with regular feedback and personalised development plans.
- Access Ericsson’s learning resources while gaining real-world exposure in project delivery and financial governance.
Requirements
This role is for candidates early in their career who are motivated to learn, grow, and contribute to Ericsson’s PMO.
Essential Qualifications:
- A recent university degree (or equivalent) in fields such as:
- Business, Engineering, Project Management, Finance, Economics
- Data/Analytics or related disciplines
- A strong desire to build a career in project management, PMO, or project financial management within Ericsson.
- Analytical skills with attention to detail—comfortable working with numbers, data, and structured information.
- Strong organisational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through to completion.
- Clear, confident communication (written and verbal) with the flexibility to adapt to diverse stakeholders.
- A collaborative mindset, with an ability to build relationships across functions and cultures.
- Proactive, curious, and continuous-improvement attitude—open to feedback and eager to master new tools.
- Proficiency in standard office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Exposure to planning, reporting, or analytics tools is a significant advantage.
