Ericsson: Graduate Programme in Project Planning, Governance & Financial Management – North Europe Project Office (NEU PMO)

About the Role

Are you a recent graduate eager to start your career in project planning, project governance, and project financial management within a global technology leader?

Join Ericsson’s North Europe Project Office (NEU PMO) and gain practical experience alongside experienced professionals while building expertise in structured project delivery.

This structured role provides:

  • Hands-on support to Customer Project Managers, Planners, and finance teams
  • 12-month mentorship programme with clear career progression in project management, PMO functions, or project financial oversight
  • Training in industry-standard tools (e.g., Site Tracker, Global Chronos, SAP)
  • Collaboration with global teams, including customers, engineers, and business partners

Responsibilities

As a Graduate Project Planner (NEU PMO), you will play a vital role in delivering projects with precision. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the PMO team in planning, reporting, and governance for customer projects—key tasks may include:
    • Translating project/contract details into structured deliverables, milestones, and dependency analyses under supervisor guidance
    • Supporting planning with tools such as Site Tracker, Global Chronos, and SAP
    • Preparing and maintaining project status reports, dashboards, and risk/issue trackers for all stakeholders
    • Ensuring proper project documentation, version control, and library governance for regulatory compliance
    • Conducting data-driven analysis to pinpoint gaps or risks, escalating findings to relevant teams
  • Collaborating globally, interfacing with:
    • Customer Project Managers
    • Network Program Directors & Implementation Managers
    • Project Finance Managers & delivery teams
    • Customers & partners

Development-And Mentorship Programme

  • A clear 12-month structured programme with:
    • Guidance from experienced Project Planners, Managers, and MCOs (Master Resources Managers)
    • Progressive skill ownership from shadowing roles to independent contributions

  • Personal development plan to chart professional growth toward roles such as Project Planner, Project Manager, or PMO leadership.

Requirements

  • Personal fit
    • Recent graduate (or rate-equivalent) with ambition to grow in PMO, project management, or project finance
    • Fresh outlook and drive to learn, coupled with a hands-on work ethic
  • Education & Background
    • University degree (or equivalent) in fields such as:
      • Project Management
      • Finance, Economics or Business
      • Engineering
      • Data/Analytics
  • Key Skills
    • Strong analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and comfort crunching numbers, data, and structured templates
    • Exceptional organisation and ability to juggle tasks under deadlines
    • Clear, adaptable communication tailored to diverse stakeholders (written/verbal)
    • Collaborative with strong relationship-building skills across global cultures
    • Proactive & growth-oriented: openness to feedback, agility with learning new tools/methods
  • Technical Proficiency
    • Working knowledge of pivot tables, Excel/VBA, PowerPoint, and Word
    • Bonus experience with project/finance analytics or PM tools (MS Project, ERP systems, etc.)
  • Language
    • Fluency in English (essential); bonus for additional languages
