Junior Project Planner
Graduate Project Planner Opportunities at Ericsson’s North Europe Project Office (NEU PMO)
About the Role
Are you a recent graduate eager to kickstart your career in project planning, project governance, and project financial management within a global technology leader?
We’re looking for motivated graduates who thrive in structured environments, enjoy working with data and love building strong deliverables. This 12-month graduate programme is designed to give you hands-on experience collaborating with Customer Project Managers, Planners, and Finance Teams while delivering structured project support across a wide range of customer initiatives.
You’ll receive structured training, mentorship, and tailored development to help you grow into a future role within Ericsson’s Project Management & Operations (PMO).
What You’ll Do
- Deliver structured project planning, reporting, and governance for customer projects, including:
- Capturing project and contract details to produce clear planning inputs, deliverables, milestones, and dependencies (under Customer PM guidance).
- Supporting project scheduling using tools like Site Tracker, Global Chronos, and SAP.
- Creating and maintaining project status reports, dashboards, and action trackers to enable stakeholders to track progress, risks, issues, and forecasts.
- Maintaining project documentation, version control, and the Project Library structure for audit readiness and effective governance.
- Using data analysis to identify gaps, inconsistencies, or risks, and addressing them with Customer PMs, Planners, or Finance teams.
- Collaborating with global and local teams, including:
- Customer Project Managers
- Network Program Directors
- Implementation Managers
- Project Finance Managers
- Engineers
- Delivery Teams
- Customers & Partners

- Practice project delivery, governance, and reporting techniques with real-world customer projects.
Development & Mentoring
This is a structured 12-month graduate programme focusing on:
- Learning Ericsson’s methodology and PMO practices, including project tools and reporting routines.
- Shadowing experienced professionals, such as Project Planners, Project Managers, and MCOs (Managing Contract Operations).
- Incremental ownership of planning and reporting tasks, backed by:
- Regular feedback
- A clear development plan
- Access to Ericsson’s learning resources
- Progressive mentorship to ensure you build confidence and competence.
Requirements
This role is ideal for candidates who are eager to learn, adapt, and contribute in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Essential:
- A recent university degree or equivalent in disciplines such as:
- Business, Engineering, Project Management, Finance, Economics, Data/Analytics, or similar.
- Strong motivation to build a long-term career in:
- Project Management, PMO, or Project Financial Management within Ericsson.
- Excellent analytical and attention-to-detail skills—comfortable working with numbers, data, and structured information.
- Strong organisational abilities, including:
- Managing multiple tasks
- Following through to completion.
- Clear and confident communication skills (written & verbal) with the ability to tailor your approach to diverse stakeholders.
- A collaborative mindset, with experience or potential to build strong working relationships across cultures and functions.
- A proactive, growth-minded attitude:
- Open to feedback
- Curious to learn new tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with standard office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- A Proficiency in English at a working level (additional languages are a plus).
