Junior Project Planner

Project Planner Graduate Role – Ericsson’s North Europe Project Office (NEU PMO)

About the Role

Are you a recent graduate eager to kick-start your career in project planning, project governance, and project financial management within a global technology company?

Join Ericsson’s North Europe Project Office (NEU PMO) and gain hands-on experience supporting Customer Project Managers, Planners, and project finance colleagues to plan, coordinate, and report on customer projects. This role is tailored for graduates who thrive in structures, work with data, and want to build expertise in project delivery, governance, reporting, and responsible business practices.

You’ll receive structured training, mentoring, and support in your first 12 months, equipping you with the skills and confidence to advance into future roles in project planning, project management, or project financial management within Ericsson’s PMO.


What You’ll Do

You’ll contribute to the efficient execution of customer projects while supporting the NEU PMO team:

  • Assess structured project planning, reporting, and governance activities for customer projects. Example tasks include:
    • Help translate project and contract information into clear planning inputs, customer deliverables, milestones, and dependencies under guidance from Customer Project Managers.
    • Support project planning and scheduling using tools like:
      • Site Tracker
      • Global Chronos
      • SAP
    • Prepare and maintain:
      • Project status reports
      • Dashboards
      • Action trackers to provide stakeholders with transparent visibility on progress, risks, issues, and forecasts.
    • Maintain project documentation, version control, and Project Library structure to ensure audit readiness and effective governance.
    • Analyse vast datasets to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and potential risks, and escalate findings to Customer Project Managers, senior planners, or finance colleagues.
    • Collaborate across local and global teams, including:
      • Customer Project Managers
      • Network Program Directors
      • Implementation Managers
      • Project Finance Managers
      • Engineers
      • Delivery teams
      • Customers
      • Partners

Development & Mentoring

You’ll participate in a dedicated 12-month structured programme, designed to accelerate growth at the start of your career. This will include:

  • Training in Ericsson’s methods, NEU PMO practices, project tools, and reporting routines.
  • Shadowing opportunities with senior professionals like Project Planners, Project Managers, and MCOs (Multi Company Organisation).
  • Progressive responsibility: Gradually take ownership of planning and reporting tasks while receiving feedback, tailored development plans, and access to Ericsson’s internal learning resources.

**Requirements

The ideal candidate is a motivated recent graduate eager to develop skills in project management and financial reporting:

  • A recent university degree (or equivalent) from a relevant field, such as:

    • Business
    • Engineering
    • Project Management
    • Finance
    • Economics
    • Data/Analytics
    • Any related discipline
  • Passion to build a career in:

    • Project Management
    • PMO (Project Management Office)
    • Project Financial Management at Ericsson.
  • Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach; comfortable with:

    • Numbers, data, and structured information.

  • Proficient in standard office software like Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; prior exposure to planning, reporting, or analytics tools is advantageous.

  • Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is highly regarded.
