Junior Project Planner
Exciting Graduate Opportunities in Project Planning, Governance, and Financial Management at Ericsson’s North Europe Project Office (NEU PMO)

About the Role
Are you a recent graduate eager to learn, work with structured data, and build a career in project delivery, governance, and business practices? Ericsson’s NEU PMO graduate programme is designed for motivated individuals who are ready to explore project planning, reporting, and financial management while receiving structured mentorship and training.
Over your first 12 months, you’ll gain exposure to:
- Supporting Customer Project Managers, Planners, and Finance teams
- Developing planning, scheduling, reporting, and financial tracking skills
- Collaborating with global stakeholders, engineers, and delivery teams
- Transitioning from guided support to full project ownership with clear career growth opportunities
This role creates a strong foundation for future roles in project planning, management, or financial analysis within Ericsson’s Project Management Office (PMO).
Key Responsibilities
As a Graduate Project Planner, your main focus will be supporting structured planning, reporting, and governance for customer projects. Key activities may include:

Supporting project planning and execution
- Assist in translating project and contract details into structured planning inputs, including milestones, deliverables, and dependencies under guidance.
- Help maintain project documentation, version control, and the Project Library to ensure audit readiness and effective governance.

Using analytical tools
- Use data analysis to identify gaps, inconsistencies, or potential risks, then work with senior Planners and Finance teams.
- Utilise tools for project planning and scheduling, including Site Tracker, Global Chronos, and SAP.

Reporting and stakeholders
- Prepare and update project status reports, dashboards, and action trackers to ensure transparency and visibility for stakeholders, senior managers, and customers.
- Collaborate globally with Customer Project Managers, Network Program Directors, Finance Managers, engineers, delivery teams, and partners.

Quality and continuous improvement
- Work under direct mentorship to progressively take ownership of projects while improving your placement, reporting, and communication skills.
Development and Mentorship
This role includes a structured 12-month graduate programme that provides:
✔ Tailored support: Regular mentorship from experienced Project Planners, Managers, and MCOs. ✔ Training: Exposure to Ericsson’s work methods, PMO practices, tools, and reporting processes. ✔ Shadowing opportunities: Observe real-world projects with senior professionals. ✔ Clear growth path: Career progression into roles like Project Planner, Project Manager, MCO, or other PMO functions.
Requirements
This entry-level graduate position is for candidates eager to develop professionally in a dynamic environment. To be successful, note the following:

Academic background
- A recent degree (or equivalent) in Business, Engineering, Project Management, Finance, Economics, Data/Analytics, or a similar field.

Skills and mindset
- Motivation to build a career in project management, PMO, or financial analysis within Ericsson.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with numerical data and structured information.
- Excellent organisation abilities, balancing multiple tasks without losing track of details.
- Proven communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to adapt language for diverse stakeholders.
- A collaborative mindset, adapting to cross-functional and multicultural teams.
- Proactive and continuous-learning attitude – open to feedback and new tools/methods.
