About The Role
We are looking for a motivated Junior Purchasing Assistant to join our Procurement team. This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates who are interested in procurement, supplier management, and supply chain operations.
As a Junior Purchasing Assistant, you will support the purchasing function by assisting with supplier communications, purchase orders, inventory coordination, and procurement documentation. You will work closely with internal departments and vendors to ensure timely procurement of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and processing purchase orders.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding quotations, deliveries, and invoices.
- Maintain procurement records and supplier databases.
- Monitor inventory levels and support stock replenishment.
- Track purchase orders and delivery schedules.
- Assist with supplier onboarding and documentation.
- Support procurement reporting and data analysis.
- Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies.
- Collaborate with finance and warehouse teams to resolve procurement issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Logistics, or a related field.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills.
- Good communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Skills
- Internship or placement experience in procurement, logistics, or operations.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of procurement and inventory management processes.
