Junior Quality Engineer
£35,000 plus package
Location: Luton

Shirley Parsons has been retained by a well-established engineering and manufacturing organization with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, technically complex products to global industries. Due to continued growth, they are seeking 2 X Junior Quality Engineer to join their Quality team.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career quality professional looking to broaden their experience across both Quality Assurance and Quality Control disciplines within a highly regulated engineering environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the review of customer specifications, technical requirements, and quality documentation.
- Assist in the preparation, implementation, and maintenance of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Plans, procedures, and associated documentation.
- Support contract quality activities, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Review and manage quality records, certifications, and technical documentation.
- Assist with supplier quality activities, including the review of supplier plans and procedures.
- Participate in root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support internal, supplier, and customer audit activities.
- Work closely with Engineering, Production, Manufacturing, Test, Operations, and Sales teams to provide quality support across the business.
- Assist in monitoring compliance with relevant industry standards, specifications, and procedures.
- Support document control activities, ensuring revisions and technical changes are appropriately managed.

Essential Experience & Skills
- Minimum of 2 years' experience within a Quality, Manufacturing, or Engineering environment.
- Basic understanding of Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and quality-related procedures.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to learn and develop technical expertise.
