Trainee Recruitment Consultant (IT Recruitment)
Birmingham | 5 Days On Site
£25,500 - £30,000 + Uncapped Commission (OTE £30,000 - £40,000 in Year 1, with significantly higher earning potential thereafter) | No Sponsorship Available
Looking to kick-start your career in recruitment? VIQU IT are looking for ambitious, driven individuals to join our Birmingham team as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant. This is an entry-level opportunity with full training, ongoing mentoring and a clear progression path into a Recruitment Consultant role.
As part of our Delivery team, you'll work alongside experienced recruiters to identify and engage IT professionals for contract and permanent opportunities across the UK. You'll build relationships with candidates, develop specialist market knowledge and play a key role in helping some of the UK's leading organisations secure top technology talent.

What You'll Be Doing
- Source IT professionals using LinkedIn, job boards, CV databases and internal recruitment tools.
- Speak with candidates to understand their skills, experience and career goals.
- Qualify candidates against live opportunities across a range of technology markets.
- Coordinate interviews and support candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Build talent pipelines and maintain accurate CRM records.
- Learn the technology recruitment market through structured training and one-to-one coaching.
What We're Looking For
- No previous recruitment experience required.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confident speaking with people over the phone.
- Motivated, resilient and eager to learn.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
