Junior Relationship Manager – Financial Institutions Group (FIG)
The Financial Institutions Group (FIG) in London covers global banks, insurance companies, financial sponsors, and institutional investors with ties to Asia. Within FIG, the Sponsors team partners with leading European private equity firms and financial sponsors, providing strategic banking solutions throughout the investment lifecycle.
Operating at the intersection of Europe and Asia, the team leverages DBS's extensive network across the UK, Greater China, Southeast Asia, and South Asia to help clients execute transactions, access new markets, and unlock growth opportunities. Specialising in fund finance, the team delivers a broad range of solutions, including acquisition and portfolio financing, fund distribution support, and wider banking services for sponsor-backed businesses.
Key Accountabilities
- Credit Focus & Transaction Analysis: Prepare comprehensive credit memos and conduct in-depth financial analysis for fund finance transactions. You will be instrumental in assessing credit risk and structuring financing solutions.
- Portfolio Management & Client Service: Support the ongoing management of our existing client relationships, ensuring efficient and timely servicing of all client requests.
- Origination Support: Assist Relationship Managers in identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to expand our Financial Sponsor client base.
- Legal Documentation Review: Review and analyse legal documentation, such as loan agreements and security agreements, to ensure compliance with internal policies, credit approvals, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to various ad-hoc projects and initiatives to support the broader team and business objectives.

What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 3+ years experience at a major financial institution in a similar role, working in corporate and/or investment banking related to Fund Finance or transaction structuring.
- Knowledge: Basic knowledge of financial markets products including structured solutions and hedging. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a solid understanding of credit risk principles. Broad understanding of Global Transaction Services product suite.
- Skills: Ability to work in a team environment and under tight deadlines. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Right to Work: you must have the right to work in the UK and do not require sponsorship now or in the future.
