Tech Pipeline is currently assisting a Manchester-based client to resolve persistent friction within their internal reporting structures. We are looking for a Junior Reporting Analyst to help us trace data inconsistencies and ensure that their operational numbers finally stop drifting. This is a fully remote role focused on fixing the specific technical gaps that prevent teams from doing their jobs effectively.

About the Role

Companies usually reach out to Tech Pipeline when their digital tools no longer match their daily operations. For this project, we are working with a client in Manchester that has a significant backlog of manual reconciliations and reports that do not quite align. You will work alongside our leads to look at where the information goes bad and identify why certain metrics are still being calculated by hand. The goal is to build a reporting pipeline that is accurate, automated, and easy for the client to maintain long after our engagement ends. You will spend your time looking at the ground truth of how data moves between systems, ensuring that every routing rule performs as expected.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Reviewing daily logs to identify where information is dropping out of the reporting sequence.
  • Updating standard operating procedures to reflect the actual routing of data from source to final dashboard.
  • Checking manual reconciliations in spreadsheets against raw database entries to find discrepancies.
  • Assisting in the cleanup of historical data backlogs so the new reporting system starts with a clean slate.
  • Testing automated routing rules to ensure that updates trigger correctly across different software applications.
  • Documenting the specific integration gaps we find so the engineering team can address them.
  • Monitoring live reporting outputs during the first month of operation to make sure the fix sticks.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What the Role Offers

  • A permanent, full-time position that is fully remote from day one.
  • Direct experience working on complex business problems for a significant Manchester-based client.
  • A work culture that prioritizes quiet, deep work over unnecessary meetings.
  • Hands-on training in how to diagnose and fix operational drag in technical systems.
  • Competitive pay that is attractive for an entry-level position in the current market.
  • A clear focus on results and documentation rather than corporate theater.

Working at Tech Pipeline

We do not believe in long meetings or slide decks. Instead, we communicate through weekly updates and clear documentation. When we take on a project, we sit with the people doing the work to understand the reality of how the work moves. We are not focused on broad strategy: we are interested in making the systems work. As a member of our team, you will spend your time resolving specific routing issues and integration friction. We expect our team to be remote, self-sufficient, and detail-oriented. The goal of every project is to leave the client with a system they can run on their own, which means our work must be precise and well-documented. We fix the specific problem, stay through the first month of live operation to make sure it sticks, and then we leave.
