Junior Revenue FP&A Analyst
Finance Analyst – Revenue Operations

Our media sales division helps brands, from local to national, reach audiences across every screen. Meanwhile, our ad tech division, FreeWheel, powers comprehensive adtech, enabling seamless buying and selling of premium video advertising—no matter the screen or sales channel.
About the Role
FreeWheel Finance is seeking a mission-driven, self-starting quantitative thinker to oversee the calculation of key monthly and quarterly revenue deliverables. This role requires an individual who thrives on independent problem-solving, turns challenges into opportunities, and innovates scalable solutions.
As part of the FreeWheel Finance team, you will act as a subject matter expert for assigned revenue streams, maintaining their associated models, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables. Reporting to the Manager, Finance, this position is ideal for someone with 2–3 years of generalist experience.
Core Responsibilities
Revenue Close Support (Monthly)
- Own the preparation and delivery of monthly revenue close deliverables (including accrual calculations, journal entries, and variance analysis) for international entities.
- Execute revenue calculations and supporting schedules, ensuring accuracy and completeness before managerial review.
- Support monthly forecasting and closing activities by providing timely analysis of revenue performance and identifying key drivers impacting results.
- Collaborate with FP&A and Accounting teams to ensure proper revenue recognition and accurate financial reporting.
Sales Commissions (Quarterly)
- Support the quarterly commission process for ~110 employees across multiple regions and functions.
- Consolidate and validate commission inputs (bookings, targets, plan mechanics, and revenue attainment calculations).
- Prepare individual commission calculation files and supporting documentation for managerial review.
- Maintain structured, auditable records to ensure consistency and transparency in commissions.
Data Management & Process Improvement
- Maintian and update key revenue and commission mapping files, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve data quality and transition toward integrated and automated systems.
- Support the development and enhancement of reporting tools, dashboards, and automated processes for efficiency.

Balance Sheet Reconciliation
- Perform monthly reconciliation of revenue-related balance sheet accounts, investigating discrepancies for resolution.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and well-documented reconciliation support files.
- Collaborate with accounting teams to uphold balance sheet integrity and compliance with internal controls.
Ad Hoc Analysis & Special Projects
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests.
- Participate in special projects and process improvements as assigned.
- Provide analytical support to management and business partners to enable data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications & Requirements
General Requirements
- Background in Accounting, Audit, or FP&A with 2+ years of generalist experience in a fast-paced environment (accreditation like ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent is an advantage).
- Profound Excel proficiency, including:
- Advanced financial analysis techniques.
- Experience with large datasets, complex formulas, lookups, PivotTables, and data validation.
- Power Query experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferred).
- Combinations of coursework + experience or extensive professional experience may also be considered.
