This role offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team at our vibrant St Albans office, just outside London. The position offers a hybrid working model, combining both office-based and remote work. Our office is based in St Albans, Hertfordshire with a fast and simple commute from London and the surrounding area: 20 minutes from London St Pancras/Kings Cross by direct train Regular services also run from Farringdon, City Thameslink, and Blackfriars Easy access from the M1, A1(M), and M25 ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for a passionate and highly numerate Junior Rugby Trader to join our well-established Rugby Desk. Reporting to the Rugby Trading & Operations Manager, you'll price and trade rugby matches across our markets, with support and mentorship from our experienced trading team to help you sharpen your skills. Day to day, you will: Research matches in depth, combining strong data analysis with detailed knowledge of teams, players and their individual abilities. Apply statistical and probability-based methods to build the most accurate prices possible, both pre-match and in-play. Monitor liabilities and move prices in response to changing circumstances and market conditions. Trade matches in-running, adjusting prices based on live action and manage online bet requests. Accurately build and settle markets, keeping errors, mistakes and omissions to a minimum. WORKING HOURS Our hours are dictated by the rugby calendar, so you'll need to be happy working a shift pattern that includes early, late and night shifts as well as weekends, to tie in with when live matches take place. ABOUT YOU You will: Hold a strong degree, ideally in a quantitative subject (e.g. maths, statistics, economics, data science or similar). Have strong data analysis skills and a solid grasp of probability and statistics, with the ability to turn data into accurate prices. Be passionate about rugby and have in-depth knowledge of teams, players and their abilities. Be very numerate with a sharp betting/trading brain and a genuine interest in betting markets. Work to a very high standard and stay calm and accurate in a pressured environment.
